I don't think they are losing much. This game with Utah is meaningless. I would rather Smith do a victory lap then have Barrett Jones (his backup) develop with game experience. I don't think that Saban is upset at all with this outcome.

He's suspended because his dad took out an extra insurance policy on him, but it was through an agent, and another agent who wanted Smith turned him in on it. It sucks to miss the last game of his career at Bama, but it's still not a huge deal since he was a sure lock to leave after the season and be a top 2 pick.
