anyone have a recommendation for where to get a good, soft, sweat absorbent bandana?

I roll'em and wear 'em like a head band or stuff one in my pocket for a sweat rag and I need some new ones.

This is also relative to my interest. I'm going to start wearing them when I run for the same reasons.

There's a reason why sweat bands were invented. No need to look like a cleaning lady.

Buffs are a decent option.

They can be a touch pricey buy last a long time and are pretty versatile.

Plus you can usually find them on some kind of sale. Academy in Knoxville had a glitch that priced one pattern at $2.38. I bought all 4 they had.

Best fabrics for sweatbands would probably be cottons. Terry cloth or microfiber. I'd go to a local fabric store and buy a few yards of terry cloth. It's pretty cheap. Then, make you a dozen or so sweatbands old '60's style. Cut them in strips and tie them in the back. Or, you could go all out an buy a grommet punch kit and put a couple of holes at both ends of the strip and lace it with shoe strings or leather. You should be able to find a yard of terry cloth for less than$8. Lots of sweat bands in there.

Yeah, that's not gonna happen. Thanks though

I sweat so much I could fill up Lake Michigan. I cut an old tee shirt straight across under where the sleeves join then straight up the sides to get two really good ones for dirty work. Done this for years. Throw in the wash or rinse out with shampoo if I'm in a hurry. Make two more as needed and the old ones are good for garage rags.

interesting - may be too humid in Alabama for this to work very well.

I have one, i live in Montgomery. I haven't really used it yet because I wear a hat at work to keep the sun off my head. I do have the froggtogg towel and wear it around my neck, it absorbs sweat and keeps my neck cool.
