its a crying shame.... just a shame! thats all there is to say about it. However i respect fulmer for steppin up and makin sure these boys dont get away with whatever they want. They were just not TENN fball material.

Banks had a lot of talent. Could play any position other than the offensive or defensive lines, he was just that talented. Hate to see him go, but man, what could have been.

Well, I hate to see that Jones is leaving. It is tragic what happened to his family last year. As for Banks, I don't feel sorry for him. I hate to see talent like his go to waste. You know, some of these guys playing Tennessee football have a bright future ahead of them. If they work hard enough and keep their eye on the prize, the world is at their feet. If going to the NFL and making millions doing something that you love is not motivation, then I don't know what is. Banks had enough talent to maybe be drafted and it seems like he has squandered it away. I don't know the details of Banks' actions, but it seems like he never got his head into it.

After his history with Drugs refusing a test was as good as saying he was guilty and he got exactly what he deserved!
Jones hasn't been the same since he lost most of his family last year and I hope nothing but the best for him.

I think he failed a test, which indicated a masking agent had been used.... and then refused to take a 2nd test.

Banks could have been a 1st round draft pick at WR , i think he was still po'd about not playing QB which led to some of his attitude problems and possibly his drug problems just my opinion... its a shame when kids like him squander their gift but CPF gave him plenty of chances to get his act together so in the words of the lady from the Weakest Link ..."GOOD-BYE"

I agree. They didin't just bench him. They gave him places to play. Start even. I don't even know what the deal with C.J. is. They showed him alot on the sidelines the first few games during all the "talk" on the QB situations, but haven't really seen him since. But, he was always in the back or down at the end of the sidelines with his arms crossed. Had he stayed in there and took the role at the coaches side like RC did, he could be playing now. I know they were letting him practice other positions, but I never saw him play. These aren't the first, and waon't be the last. But, when you are given multiple opportunities, given a free education at a quality school, and don't produce, you need to move on or be dismissed. Fulmer took a big risk letting Banks hang on this long. He'll end up in a small program at best and never be heard from again.

On different notes, will Hardegree and Cooter and the likes of the other backups stay, or will they transfer. With the top notch QB's already here and Crompton on the way, and RC returning, the backup roles are already locked among those 4. The current 3rd and 4th string QB's have no playing future here at QB.

the only reason hardegree is on the team is because we thought it would help our chances of getting daniel brooks

he needs to transfer for his own good. he might fit in well at a Div 1AA school
