Banks is more trouble than he is worth. It is time for him to go.

From WVLT TV:

Vol Wide Receiver Banks Cited

The troubles continue for Vols Wide Reciever James Banks and after an early morning incident.

Could this be the final straw for the talented but troubled Vol Junior, who has been suspended and not yet officially reinstated to the Vols football program.

According to the Knoxville Police Department, James Banks was cited for a violation of city's noise ordinance and underage consumption.

Officers reported to an unruly crowd of about 40-50 people at the Rocky Top gas station on Cumberland Avenue at around 3 a.m. this morning.

KPD says that Banks repeatedly turned up the music in his vehicle while officers tried to clear the parking lot.

According to public information officer, Darrell DeBusk, Banks will have to appear in Knoxville Municipal Court within the next thirty days.

At this point in time Coach Phillip Fulmer is out of town, but he did say he will deal with the situation accordingly when he returns next Monday night.

I believe Banks is having problems in his personal life or family and this is the only way he knows how to respond is by doing what is wrong it is A thing most young men do now they have no one to talk to or turn to and the way we turn or backs on him and so good-bye without knowing what is wrong is not good team help it is using them to win and not care about them as people. :bad:

Since he hadn't shown any signs of being being this spectacularly stupid before, it makes me wonder if he'd already heard something bad from the coaches about his odds of making it back... It's closing in fast on Fall practice, so you've got to figure the coaches are keeping close tabs on how sincere he is about making up for whatever he did before and letting him know where he stands....

Wouldn't that be ironic....

Banks really showed his true colors at the Peach Bowl (still can't get the taste out of my mouth :yuck: ). I have a lot of respect for Bank's abilities, but he has shown that if he doesn't get the spotlight, his play becomes inconsistent. If Fulmer says it's time for him to go, then bye-bye. We don't need another Kelley Washington.
