About time!
(In the Alabama game) There were breakdowns in Tennessee’s smaller lineup, according to Barnes, but there was a “willingness to fight” that he said he loved. It sounded as though he was describing a breakthrough moment for a team that struggled through the last six weeks of the regular season.
“We play hard,” Barnes said, “but there was just an attitude and an air about us that made you feel like, 'This group is getting it.' The Florida game was a really hard-fought game and defensively being able to stay locked in, in a game between two teams that do great things.

They're going to need to "get it" for 40 straight minutes in 4 straight games if they want to make the Final Four. No 7 minute stretches without scoring. No string of turnovers when the going gets tough. Gotta be locked in at all times. I hope Barnes is right. Good lord knows Tennessee fans need something to go our way...

I'm holding out hope. I will be 100% content if we can make the S16, but I acknowledge we could just as easily lose game 1.

They got it for a couple of games this season. Problem is with their mamories. they forget next game, what won the last un.

Well if the pattern holds true, Tenn is due a win, since they lost their last one. W & L pretty much since Feb. Barnes better be right, He is sticking his neck out with these comments. The Vols Did play some great Defense last two times out.

I don’t see this team losing to Oregon St

Yes, I’m aware they won the PAC 12 but it’s been mostly weak the entire season.

Oklahoma St has Cunningham but this is a team sport. He’ll get his points, just keep his teammates from scoring and we should be fine.

Illinois would be extremely tough. We don’t have the size down low to deal with Cockburn. I picked Tennessee to win that one in my bracket because I’m biased.

I think the Elite 8 is about as far as they go into the tournament.

Yeah, cockburn down low can be a big problem.

Can we get the gameday thread going tonight?!?! Cant wait until tip-off tomorrow. Stephen A has Ok St in his final four. Cant wait to bust his bracket up!!
