Thanks! Wonder if there any chance we are holding out hope that Andy could throw Sunday.

Only guessing here but...their Friday guy hasn't given up an earned run yet this season and our best pitcher so far this season is going up against him.

They also haven't lost the finale of a series yet this season. If we lose game 1 and 2 I doubt we risk opening up the blister on Sunday.

However, if we're 1-1 going into Sunday and Cox can give us a couple, not necessarily as the starter we might see him.

The important thing is that Cox is ready to go versus Ole Miss.

Not sure I agree with that.

Only way you don't risk the blister, as you describe it, is if we win both Friday and Saturday.

We must win this series IMO and getting swept would be a disgrace at home

2/3 or bust IMO

If we lose the first two games and I'm coach/manger there is no way in hell I'm putting an injured Cox out there.

If we win the first two, Cox doesn't pitch this weekend, guess we agree there.

We don't know the extent of the injury so this is all kind of mute.

Getting swept would be bad but it's not devastating unless UCI ends up totally sucking, I don't think that will happen. Too early, we can ill afford to lose Cox.

BTW we are marginal underdogs in the series even at home.

I agree without know the extent of the injury we really can't say what should or shouldn't happen

They lost game 3 opening weekend and also last weekend at utsa.

Not sure why you think we are a slight underdog. Must win series IMO and one at home we should win

2016 Men's College Baseball Game Result Prediction - WarrenNolan.com

Using that.

They were predicted to be second to CSF and we were predicted to finish last in the SEC so... there's that and I'm not enough of a homer to believe that just because we're in the SEC we're supposed to beat every OOC opponent.

This is by far and away the best pitching we have faced and our pitching save Warren has been lack luster, but IT IS March. There's no such thing as must win this early.

I think we'll hold our own, but losing to UCI is not a disgrace on opening weekend no matter how you slice it. Getting swept in May by UGA would be.

I hear you but being down an arm might mean only 2 games might be what we need

You're right. I could see that happening too. Crazy to think we are down 3 arms this early in the year. Cox, Serrano, and Westphal were/will all be huge to us.
