The Vols have added a home midweek game against Bellarmine on Tuesday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. to replace its Feb. 22 game against Tennessee Tech that has now officially been ruled a rain out. The game between the Vols and Golden Eagles was suspended in the top of the fifth inning due to heavy rain. The two teams were unable to schedule a makeup date to finish the contest. All stats from the game will be voided.

UT and Tennessee Tech will meet one more time this season on April 12 when the two sides square off at Smokies Stadium in Kodak, Tennessee.

Lastly, first pitch for Tennessee's game vs. Western Carolina on Wednesday, March 30 has been moved up to 5:30 p.m. from its originally scheduled time of 6:30 p.m.

I wonder why they couldn't just finish it at Smokies Park before that game? Who knows may be as simple as Tech's travel schedule.

Tennessee Tech said they did not have enough pitching to finish the previous game and play another 9 inning game. The sad part is it had rained the entire game and if they had played one more out it would have been considered a complete game.
Agreed. I was there and was shocked that they called it with 2 outs in the top of 5th. One more out and it would have been official. Really poor decision by umpiring crew. Vitello didn’t look happy with their decision.
