I don’t have Twitter or anything, but if someone starts something then don’t be upset whenever you get that smoke. It’s fair game once you’re an adult.

You know that wasn’t a good thing, right? Kids dying?

I know, I know…dying young builds character…

I think you may have missed the point. I was trying to demonstrate the difference in the sensibilities of today's snowflakes in contrast to past generations. I do know that kids dying is not a particularly good thing. My father's best friend John H. Pate, Jr. died on May 5, 1968 during Little Tet in Vietnam. My wife's uncle George Wilfred Hough died on July 8, 1944 during the battle for Caen in Normandy, France so, yes I do know that wasn't a good thing.

Maybe the point would be better made with a different turn of phrase. Just a thought while I contemplate a shower at 23-1.

First of all they’re not kids. They’re adults. ....
For what it is worth ... the definition of adult changes with culture.
I for one have seen very few 'adults' in the age range of 18-24 ... granted I was never in the armed forces so that CERTAINLY limits my range of experience.
My daughter is 24 soon to be 25, and she has voted and is definitely not an 'adult.'
Auto industry does not consider you an 'adult' until 26ish I believe.
Traditional Jewish culture thinks you are a grown man == adult at 30.
My two cents, "adult" has less to do with age and more to do with maturity.
Or to borrow from Malcolm Forbes, "The only difference between boys and men is the price of their toys."
