No particular agenda here. Just some interesting tidbits and facts covering the 8 more popular or main major conferences. I think the SEC does have a strong case for being stronger overall this year. Lots of media coverage saying the opposite IMO.

Conf., #Teams, #Ranked, # w/3 losses or less

ACC, 12, 4 (14,16,23,25), 4
SEC, 12, 5 (4,5,8,11,17), 5
BE, 8, 3 (6,13,15), 3
WAC, 9, 2 (10,24), 2
B10, 11, 3 (1,3,7), 3
B12, 12, 4 (8,17,19,22), 4
MW, 9, 1 (20), 2
P10, 10, 2 (2,21), 2

Also interesting is that all teams in these 8 major conferences with teams at or less than than 3 losses are ranked in the top 25 except the Mountain West who has 2 teams under 3 losses and only one ranked. The rankings listed are 24 of the top 25 with ND holding the other spot. The SEC leads the way with 42% of teams at or below 3 losses, and the most currently ranked teams. Comparitively speaking, the ACC holds as good as anyone else. The ACC bashers must move their quips to some other conference.

Look where the SEC teams are ranked compared to the ACC. The SEC is the most dominant conference year in and year out.

Wasn't comparing ACC to SEC. Just saying overall, ACC holds it's own to the Big12, BE, etc.

Hey, look... Big 11 had a decent year, if you look at those stats. All 3 ranked teams SHOULD be going to a BCS bowl but because of the stupid rules Wisconsin is getting the shaft. The rest of the teams this year just dropped of the side of the earth... especially that crappy Iowa team everyone here now says shouldn't be going to a bowl game... heh.
