What post players are we in on for the next two classes? because we can pretty much assume Tobias is likely a one and done kid, and Brian Williams will be gone which leaves us with only renaldo and kenny at the post two years from now. I know it's early but I haven't seen us in on many guys who can play the 4 or the 5.

I don't think Harris is a one and done, he chose Tennessee because they had a field of study that he is interested in getting a degree in. As far as recruiting post players, I'm not sure. If you look at Rivals players for 2011, you'll see we've offered a good deal of them. We have Maymon coming in this year so I'm sure he'll provide some help.

Ya thats the second time I forgot about Maymon today, but we still need two posts in the event that Tobias does potentially leave.

Maymon wants to play the three and left his previous school because he was playing the 4. I really think we need to sign another post for the current recruiting class.

If Tobias actually gets a lottery-pick draft grade, why bother staying in school?

Not many degrees can get you a better job than NBA player.

not many people will understand what you just said. Look up the thread about Berry leaving early for proof.

good lord, Harris is not even on campus yet and you guys want him to head off to the NBA.

he does not have an NBA body - yet.

and yeah go reference the EB threads. a lot on this board would rather watch a vol in a pro-bowl than a sugar bowl. i wonder if some of you even care if UT wins games.

If he gets a draft grade and has an opportunity to take care of himself and his family, then ya he should definitely go. If he takes 2,3, or even 4 years to get there, then thats fine too. As long as the kid isn't leaving as a sophomore to go undrafted or something along those lines why not be happy for the kid realizing his dream?

Whether he is a one and done kid or not, we still need more post help for the next couple seasons.

Ed Davis could have left last year. I hope Tobias doesn't notice that situation...

Im one that does not understand this. I thought everyone had to go to college for a year now. But i take it there are exceptions?

does anyone think vandy is going to be a threat to stealing memphis recruits from us? with memphis down i thought we could scoop up all the memphis talent (wich is alot) but now with the rise of vandy and handing us our asss....who knows. the only thing that might help is the acadimic standards at vandy....

He would be in school one (Freshman) year. Then go to the NBA.

I think I read in an interview with him that he and his dad have already talked about this and that he would likely stay at least two years in college.

Davis is still a lottery pick for this year and actually projected about the same as last. I'm sure he was hoping for move to the top 2 or 3 but still didn't hurt himself.

the projection on ESPN has him down slightly from last year. If I Remember right, last year they considered him "Top 5". Right now he is "Top 10"

Take a look at Memphis' incoming recruiting class.

I'm pretty sure not cashing a lottery pick check and spending the year on an NIT quality squad qualifies as "hurting" yourself.

I keep hearing about the chance of a lock out/strike possibly coming up in the NBA. That would keep him in place for sure.

Sure you're not thinking about the NFL.... just wondering, I do not like the League, so I do not really pay attention when my roommate is talking about it. I know the NFL is staring a lockout in the face, didn't know the NBA was too.

I've been a fan of North Carolina basketball for almost 10 years and I have watched every game that I possibly can (yes I like UT basketball too so don't think I'm a troll). But just because one's team is down in chemistry doens't "hurt" one's draft stock. Davis's potential is through the roof and whether he's a top 5 or top 10...hell we ain't a top 10 pick for the NBA draft so who cares about 5 spots. Plus, I could be biased and drinking to much Orange Kool-Aid, but I think Bobby Maze is probably playing like the third best point guard in the nation right now.(if he shows up in Rupp Arena)

Having an "NBA body" is overrated.

Sincerely,
Kevin Durant

Tobias is a SF at the next level.
