Malachi Moreno's high school is 15 minutes from me. Great Crossing is in my alma mater's district. I'll have to try and make a game of his this year.



The first part of the highlight he was playing against them and it was a district playoff game where they won after going into 3 OT's. Was an insane game!

Tennessee LB Kalib Perry's alma mater if I'm not mistaken.

Yes it is. It's a fairly new school. It's been around less than 5 years, before that everyone went to Scott County High School.

I would be worried about the level of competition Moreno plays against though. It's really bad.

Wiht AAU being so popular, I doubt coaches go to many high school games anymore to evaluate talent. You can goto one of the big AAU events and catch numerous prospects going against better competition.

Scott County used to have a really good basketball program, but they've been down.

Great Crossing played Lex Cath twice, Cov Cath, Holy Cross, Ashland (my kids' school), Frederick Douglass, GRC, Lyon County, and Warren Central (state champs) last year. 41st District is pretty bad, but the top of the 11th Region is tough, and there were 5 of the 16 state tourney teams on their schedule, so they do a good job scheduling tough games out of district. They beat four of those five, too.

The Peach Jam is probably the most popular AAU event that is played.

2025 should be a 4 player class..Mashack, Aidoo,ZZ gone and probably a player transfers...jmo..
