LaConte? Yeah, we'll really miss that 16.00 ERA he had in SEC games last year.

You usually offer-up valuable info on the athletic department. This statement is one of the least intelligent things you've posted.

Do you want to dispute that his SEC ERA was 16.00?

So I should ignore the facts (the stats) and take your word for it that we miss him? The facts in black and white make me look foolish? Really?

Is it foolish to point out his 7.36 ERA overall? that he gave up 26 hits and 18 runs in just 22 innings? Walked 18? What part of that is "retarded and inflamed?" Those are all facts. UT didn't run off Cy Young, they didn't ask back a marginal at best pitcher.

He did have a better ERA than Morgado, so there's that.

Tell me big boy other than Steve McRae.. who really had a great year.. NO ONE!!!! No Ones ERA was Stellar and if you ask the players they will tell you he had some of the best stuff on the team... and he chose to leave he wasnt asked to leave...he was being used in the wrong role.

Its true numbers dont lie but they dont tell the whole story either... how many times did any of our boys really strike out a hitter and the ump gave the hitter life because of inconsisitant calls.. too many times.. there were gifts given the other way as well... but usually not in the pitchers favor.. strike zones varied tremendously.. remember he was an All State, All american and All region coming into UT with a 1.03 ERA. Was one of the most dominant arms in West Tenn. and like I said it was his friends on the team who miss him not you!! I just thought it was very kind of several young men to say that. Its a human element thing...something you dont understand.

And if it were just ERA that was the bench mark I guess about 15 other pitchers should have gone... the only one who was below a 3 was hochever. and he left for the same insanity. (hey looks like the whole staff should have been replaced ).

Thank god our new pitching coach was not just a Yes Man and could coach pitchers to be better and not worry about offending an idiot head coach.
