The 18.5-foot tall, 11-foot wide, 625-pound digital clock flanked with football helmets from the competitors will weather the elements beside the iconic large guitar at the intersection of State and Volunteer Parkway as a further reminder of the speedway’s quest to quash college football’s all-time attendance record.

Food City will co-sponsor the game and company CEO Steve Smith noted that Tech’s victory over Ohio State last Saturday was played before a school record crowd of more than 107,000 inside the famous Horseshoe on the Columbus campus.

“We’re going to make that look like a high school crowd,” Smith said, issuing a challenge to both Tech and Volunteer fans to push ticket sales.

I'm sure it has been asked and answered before, but does anyone have any idea when non-reserved, non-season ticket holder tickets will be available to the public? I have every intention of being at this game, and just want to know I haven't missed some sort of special announcement or anything. Just ready to lock down my tickets and campsite.

4 tickets reserved already. Can't wait.

By then, our new Q.B. (Dormandy) will be a sophomore with a year of experience.

this years freshmen will be juniors or red shirt sophomores.

We will ready to go by then.

However; Va. Tech looked good against Ohio State last weekend.
