Hey girl, you sure picked a great time to see a USA/Italy baseball game. JCA just went wild and had a great day at the plate.

Hope you had a great trip. What did you think about our neck of the woods up here in Virginia and North Carolina?

My trip was great! I really like North Carolina. I intend to come back one day and go to Mt. Airy and see the Mayberry RFD stuff, ride along the Blue Ridge Mt. Parkway, and maybe do some hiking. I would like to see some of Western TN and also go to the beaches. Monday I got up and drove to Salem, but the museums were closed, so I went to Lexington to eat lunch at Lexington Barbeque. It 's different from any other I've had! Bought some of the sauce from the restuarant. I really liked it.

Seems like Italy wasn't much of an opponent. JP had a great weekend, as did some of the other players from Florida. The facility is beautiful. I watched Bull Durham before I went, and then again last night before I returned it. It was really neat to see the movie after going to Durham because I recognized the buildings in town and the Lucky Strike water tower, etc.

People are very nice there.... and skinny compared to Louisiana. But then I went to a couple of restuarants and now I know why they are skinny! The food is NOTHING compared to LA cooking!

Seriously, I had a great time and I will be back .... wouldn't mind living there one day!
