Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I didn't see it anywhere. It seems we have a home bball game the same night of the Garth concert. Any chance the game start time gets moved up for those that would love to attend both? Since I'm traveling 4 hours, I'd love to pull off a double event if possible. My wife might not appreciate it, but it's what I want.

The game against Washington that weekend is in Toronto so I doubt any adjustments will be made

IMO, concerts are the biggest waste of time and money. Most of them are ridiculously overpriced these days. I remember the nosebleeds for Justin Timberlake in Nashville were in the $250 range. At that point you're better off just staying home. Of course that is just my opinion, but I can't possibly understand why some people would ever pay $300-$400 to see Taylor Swift perform. You could buy a ticket to Bonarroo at that price and get an entire 4 days of music rather than 3 hours.

Right there with you. There isn’t a soul on this earth I’d pay $400 to see from 300’+ away.

Yep. I'm a music lover to so no shade at those who enjoy it. I've been to Bonnarroo three times. But for $300 at Bonnarroo you get access to dozens of different musicians and events. A much better value.

Agree. I am a music junkie, myself, though a bit of a music snob, too, I guess you could say. I’m pretty particular, and generally speaking, no one I would want to hear, live, for the most part, would ever command that kind of money.

No, TV has the rights.

not only the expense, but why would anyone want to pay those prices to see Garth Brooks when all you will hear is 25,000 fans singing along with him at the top of their lungs which will, indeed drown out his voice. that happened at the last concert I attended...and I do mean my last!

I know one song and it's sung at every home game, so it'll all be new to me aside from that.

I hope you haven't paid for tickets to watch our football program for the last 10 years then, that's been a bigger disappointment.

Random story, but when I was a junior in highschool Garth was coming to Lexington and tickets went on sale doing algebra, we got the day off during the class and everyone was on their phones trying to get tickets.

I met Garth years ago and didn't recognize him because I didn't listen to country music

I paid $265 to see the Foo Fighters, worth every penny, because I made it to the front row.
I'd pay whatever to see Kings of Leon, but to each their own I guess.

I'll give Garth credit for keeping his tickets reasonably priced, at least on the primary market. I saw him twice on his last tour so I was going to skip this one, but my wife has some family that wanted to come down and go, so we're going. At least we'll get a babysitter and make an entire evening out of it.
