BCS DECLARES GERMANY WINNER OF WORLD WAR II… US Finishes Ranked 4th

After determining the Big-12 championship game participants the BCS computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.

“Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark,Belgium and the Netherlands. Their only losses came against the US and Russia; however considering their entire body of work–including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule–our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking.”
Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS commissioner stated “The US only had two major victories–Japan and Germany. The computer models, unlike humans, aren’t influenced by head-to-head contests–they consider each contest to be only a single, equally-weighted event.”

German Chancellor Adolph Hitler said “Yes, we lost to the US; but we defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks.” Herr Hitler has been criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn ’style points’ to enhance Germany’s rankings. Hitler protested “Our contest with Poland was in doubt until the final day and the conditions in Norway were incredibly challenging and demanded the application of additional
forces.”

The French ranking has also come under scrutiny. The BCS commented“France had a single loss against Germany and following a preseason #1 ranking they only fell to #2.”Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Manchuria, Borneo and the Philippines.

Except Germany didn't do that.

I am glad people are giving France respect though, most people don't realize historically how badass that country is. What I am most curious about is how would people rank Spain in this time? What with their civil war going on the entire time.

And this is what really ticks me off. I dont understand why we even rank countries until halfway through the war. It is the dumb pre-war rankings that skewers the whole vote. France was ranked way too high coming into the war and all they had to do was go into a stall, play a little keep away, and they werent going to be dropped down.

I think margin of victory should be weighted a little higher also. Afterall, we blew a portion of Japan completely off the map, and we dont get extra points for that?

screw that. Time for a playoff

The BCS forgot to factor in Germany's tie against the UK and the US victory over Italy. Recount!

Switzerland despite their pathetic strength of schedule (they literally played no one) received 1 first place vote by a Reuters voter who claimed the whole system too heavily favors the 6 Super Powers.

The fact that they sat at home and didnt play anyone actually worked to their favor, and they were selected to play in the Sugar Bowl.

I see you like fur. That's cool, no judgement here

I understand where you are coming from on that, but the only 2 authentic french girls I have ever known were sisters, and their daddy was at one time a very prominent figure in Renault Corp. There were no fur issues with those two.

Performed the inspections myself. :hi:

I googled the German and French Cheerleaders (not sure of the authenticity of the French Cheer squad, but they came up in the google search and in google I trust.

We have to remember, age of consent in france is 15, so this opens up entirely new levels of both potential AND creepiness, which means it's very possible some of those cheerleaders are illegal here.

But we only had one home game in this war. And that was the first time anyone saw the Run and Shoot offense, so we were not quite prepared for that game.

Badass? Really? They have overrated wine.. rude waiters, and it is very very expensive. Oh, and they all smoke.

The bread is good though I'll concede that point

UK may have tied with them, but if it had been naval season, they would have destroyed them, as they have a rich naval history.

He was referring to Napoleon, IMO. Not a very likeable person, but a great coach. Led them to their first undisputed national championship.
