If Wolfe swtiches it's rankings so that Michigan is 2 and Florida 3, it would create a tie in the computers. Then Michigan would need to lead Florida by 48 points in the Harris poll to get the rematch with Ohio St.

If both Wolfe and Anderson-Hester still have Michigan ahead of Florida, then Michigan could trail Florida in the Harris poll by nine points and still lead the Gators in the overall BCS rankings, thus getting their rematch.
The only other computers that are still unknown are Massey, which had Florida ahead going into this week and it seems unlikely that would change, and Billingsley, which had Michigan ahead going into this week and which also seems unlikely to change.

Tressel obstained from voting this week in the coaches poll. No one can say he chose his opponent.

What's the impact to Tennessee, where are we going.
CBS is predicting Outback against Penn State, and Fox Sports is saying Cotton against Nebraska..

I prefer Penn State, Nebrasks pasted us in '98, and '00.

Guess it goes to show they schedule the bottom of the SEC, and when they are forced to face the elite in bowls, they get manhandled.

Since '95 they played 4 SEC teams and lost them all:

Bama '95, 17-24
TN '96, 14-20
SC '01, 7-24
SC '02, 28-31

There is no impact on Tennessee.

The Capitol One Bowl Comittee is meeting right now to decide between Tennessee and Arkansas. If they choose Arkansas, all indications are that the Outback Bowl will NOT pass on us, and we will be in Tampa.

I would give the edge to the Capitol One Bowl though.

Just wondering, why would they take us over Arkansas who smacked us around, and seems to be the SEC version of Wisconsin?

Because Arkansas has lost two in a row, and they fear that their fans won't travel as well to Orlando as they would Dallas.

Arkansas reps maybe campaigning for the Cotton Bowl. There's a feeling over here that the Razorback fans will travel better to Dallas, than to Florida.

Especially if there was some way to match them up against Texas.

I would love to think that, but I just have a feeling we will be in Tampa...

Hope you are right though...

Conventional wisdom also says that the loser of a conference championship game is usually disappointed and therefore doesn't travel as well or bring as much excitement to the game.

Convention is often wrong, but that, at least, is one line of thinking.

Controversy?

It's all going to come down to the Harris Poll, and it won't be released until "after" the Selection Show.

Does anyone worry that Votes or Numbers could be changed???

Who votes in that? Any bias perceived in that one?
