I just noticed Kent St could make a BCS bowl if they win and move up in rankings next week. It's almost a guarantee if they win as #16 UCLA plays Stanford again, who they just got throttle by. I'd also like to know how UCLA moved up a spot in the BCS standings when they just got man handled?

I predict

NC - Notre Dame vs Georgia

Orange - Florida State vs. Rutgers

Rose - Stanford vs Nebraska

Tostitos - Kansas State vs. Kent St.

Sugar - Florida vs Oregon

The Orange Bowl would take Kent State, so it'd be FSU-Kent State. Kansas State-Oregon Fiesta Bowl.

huh, it's amazing how smooth the 5 BCS bowl setup can actually look when both Notre Dame and a minor school actually get two of the automatic bids in a given year

BCS busters usually get either the Tostitos or the Sugar. Big East champs usually gets the Orange vs ACC champs. A BCS buster has never been in the Orange IIRC.

Well, not really. Kent St was steam rolled 47-14 by Kentucky this year. I'd say there are more deserving teams to get their spot like Bama/Florida (depending on final rankings), Oklahoma, Clemson, Oregon St, Michigan. Heck Texas would look better than Kent St, if they win next week. I'd even put Northwestern above Kent St.

Kent State would end up in the Orange because the Orange has the last pick this season, as far as I know. It's unlikely that any BCS bowl would take Kent State anywhere other than with the last selection.

This. And I think they're required to take the BCS buster if they make it? Not sure but the only BCS bowl that Kent State would go to is the Orange from what I've seen
