How in the world do they rank us 78th? We must have started out in the high 90's at the beginning of the year.

Massey is the guy from Carson-Newman right ? And his poll is a joke. Some Notables Rankings: 5. Akron, 7. Troy,13. Bowling Green, 14. UConn,16. La Lafayette,19. Ohio, and to round out the top 25. Buffalo.

Those forumulas are based upon input data. There is not enough data at this point. They really shouldn't publish them until later in the season, because the accuracy of the computer ratings sucks at this point. Most the time they don't get much better, but 78th just shows the absurdity of the current calculation.

Massey's poll almost always seems to have a heavy negative bias against SEC team. I haven't really analyzed it, just anecdotal evidence from looking at the Massey ratings since they began being included in the BCS calculations.

You don't know what you are taling about. The poll is not even intended to be accurate until more games are played.

A. He's a VA Tech fan;

B. He's a math professor at Carson-Newman.

If A and B, then subject is clearly a deluded, cloistered academic with a vastly overrated opinion of himself and his work.

People like this voted Va Tech's field in the top ten college venues last year! What a joke. Take the top eight in AP and Coaches and make 'em play!
