Inside Bay Area - Bears hope to tune out 'Rocky Top' in Tennessee

It started in the springtime when Cal coach Jeff Tedford played "Rocky Top," the Tennessee football anthem, as motivation for his Golden Bears.

Motivation turned into torture.

"We'd have conditioning workouts in the morning at 6:30," senior cornerback Randy Bundy said, "and they'd just play 'Rocky Top' over and over in the locker room, all day long until we got tired of it."
"It was pretty irritating," said sophomore quarterback Nate Longshore, who's starting Saturday in Knoxville. "Hope we don't have to hear much more of it."

Look at this little nugget....

"We're not playing against their fans," Lynch pointed out. "All that's going to matter is what happens down on the field. It's going to be a physical game. That's good."

Lynch isn't concerned either about the sea of orange in the stands. "Only the orange they're wearing," he said of the players.

GET LOUD VOL FANS!!!!!!

As Pearl Says.... "Don't show me that weakness TENNESSEE!!! Show me the swagger, show me the toughness!!!!"

I think they should have Bruce Pearl do a short motivational promo and put it on the jumbotron. A little motivation for all of those that are sitting instead of standing and cheering.

BRING THE NOISE TOMORROW!!!!!
