Heard a rumor that this could be a ticket for the 2012 election. Everyone knows who Palin is... Beasley is the former Governor of South Carolina.

I have known David for a long time... He is a pretty good guy in my opinion. He is from my home town in SC. What do you guys think?

If your buddy adds Palin, his candidacy will be short lived.

Beasley didn't impress me very much as governor. The leftists wil probably try to make him take a stand on the Confederate flag issue and try to pin him down as a racist... which is what they would have done to Mark Sanford, also.

Beasley took the flag down due to pressure... I could be wrong but I think this is going to be a strong ticket. I don't see anyone else as of right now who I would even consider in the Rep party that could be nearly as strong. Still too early but it seems to be gaining strength.

Like I said I haven't heard anything but a rumor. I am trying to get in touch with David now so maybe I will hear something later. One thing is for sure, if Obama keeps screwing up it will not take too strong of a ticket to beat him in 2012.

Palin's value was in generating buzz for an otherwise moribund McCain campaign. Once she proved to be an absolute idiot, her value evaporated altogether.

The poor chap who adds her is done.

That idiot McCain would not have got the number of votes that he did if it was not for her.

Kind of an aside to this issue.. I was listening to the radio on the way home last night and Bob Barr's VP running mate was on, and that guy sang sweet music to my ears. He's the one anyone outside of the left should be voting for. Anyone remember his name?

And Palin would be a disaster at this point. Too many people just do not like her and some of it is justifiable. She made too many key mistakes, especially stepping down as governor, for her to be a legitimate candidate.

Answered my question myself: Wayne Allyn Root. The dude was great and said exactly what I've starated saying since November. We need to get out of the bedroom and leave most social stuff to the states and get the Gov't out of our lives and wallets. I'm going to start really following him now.

I don't care who the Rs run up the flag pole this time so much as what the candidates have stood up for in their past. The Rs have lost my automatic vote. I will be looking for the most likely to reign in spending and the power of the federal government, regardless of the little letter besides their name on the ballot.

McCain would have done worse without her ... I agree with that assertion and here's why: He was way way too "moderate" on EVERYTHING and thus really alienated most conservatives fiscal and social. Palin fired up the social side and inflated his numbers. However, the social conservatives which are at this point really gumming up the mix, are actually bringing the right side of things way down because all they seem to care about are issues like abortion and gay marriage. Which in the end is at the bottom of the list when we are facing the financial meltdowns both sides have been causing as of late.

Agree with everything except the automatic vote part, at least for 2012. No one the Republicans could put out there could be worse than Obama. But I will be disappointed if we end up getting stuck with another McCain or Bush.

Well, I voted for the R because the only alternative was Al Gore. Then I voted for the R because the only alternative was John Kerry. Then I voted for the R because the only alternative was Barack Obama.

This time the Rs need to run out someone worth voting for, or I will just stay home because I might as well be comfortable as our country goes to hell. For the past two decades it has just been a question of how quickly the federal government destroys our economy, our property, our constitutional liberty and our military.

I just threw up in my mouth. You are kidding, right?

No...with all the financial mess that crashed on McCain's hopes, Romney would have given some stability to the ticket given his background. Palin didn't have anything substantive to say about it other than what her handlers told her.

When are Republicans going to realize that all Sarah Palin does is give speeches to get crowds excited, no substance to anything she says. Oh wait...

That ticket wouldn't have brought in anymore votes then mccain/palin.
