Hope CBJ adopts this philosophy from the old staff. Lets face it, the formation was the best short yardage plays we had. Love to see the success rate it had this year.

And yet, too predictable, no deception in it whatsoever.

Plays don't have to be unpredictable to be effective. I can only think of one time, off the top of my head, that it didn't work. It was on a 4th and 1 he got stuffed but it was because AJ made the wrong read which he admitted.

We can do a lot better things out if a lot of better formations than we do out of this junk. We could have put pretty much anybody on the roster back there instead of AJ & gotten the same or better results.

Easy, Run it.., Fake it.. And dump the ball off to Downs or croom! Keep the defense on there heals

I was a Beast package hater. BUT, it worked in the Red Zone big time. However, we ALWAYS ran it right off-tackle and that cost us on some crucial fourth downs in some close games.

I would prefer a traditional Beast package - see the formation we ran against Arkansas in 1998 to punch it in the end zone as time ran out. Damn, I loved that drive after Stoerner stumbled and fumbled. That's what I want TN to get back to.

That happened because we had Pus$y rb's in short yardage. Need to stop it to avoid Costing AJ. Would rather him get hurt on defense than offense.

I am not a fan of the wildcat type stuff. Just land Green and stuff it down their throat on 3rd and short

Maybe it was only one time but we had 3rd and 1 on about the Bama 20 after making a few plays and we threw out the back of the endzone, then had 4th and 1, brought in AJ and the whole world knew what was coming next, all Bama had to do was to load up which they did.

I like the play, but it should be from a full-time fullback, with options to throw or pitch back at least once in a while, just so other team would have that on film.
