I really friggin hate this scenario.

Also, I honestly don't know that either team deserves a bid over the other. I just hope that there isn't another meeting in the NIT like last year.

I am the same but I can easily say I would rather have ut in. Let mtsu go win the nit.

None taken. I've always been a VOL first and foremost. When I was in school on campus in Murfreesboro, my dorm was all orange and I went to every home football game in Knoxville. LOL

Hoping for UT to get in and MTSU to be left out. Vols dance. And (assuming MTSU gets a 1 seed in the NIT) i'll only have to drive 30 mins. and pay 10 bucks to watch some good ball

Trust me. I understand. When UT played my alma mater (formerly SW Missouri State) Missouri State in the tournament, it was pretty difficult.

That must have been terrible, given the outcome of that game and it was John Ward's last call.

MTSU gets in and we don't, I'm definitely rooting for them. I like that team.

I'll root for any Tennessee school not called Vandy or Memphis.

Pearl giving props to MTSU on ESPN and said they are his "sleeper" team in the tourney. Guess we're screwed if he's right....

When Middle clicks, they shoot better than just about any team in the country. And they have 6-7 solid shooters on the team. I think they could make the Sweet 16.

Had 1 win vs. Top 50 teams. Beat up on a bunch of nobodies

I'm in the same boat. I'd love to see them both in on opposite sides of the bracket, but that probably won't happen.

Attended MTSU (recieved degree elsewhere) love the Vols. Smarta** middle fans used to give me hell when I wore orange on campus. I hope they don't make either tourney and I live in Murfreesboro.

I took my son to see UT vs MTSU in Murphy Center a couple years ago (Pearl still coaching). Some drunk kid walks up to me and says "take your ugly orange shirt back to Knoxville." Told him this orange shirt lives about 5 miles from here.

I am just like you MTSU alum and I Vols fan all my life. I want MTSU to do well, but I wish MTSU and the Vols would never play, because I have to root for the Vols every time. Go Vols. I think I might take a class online at TN, so I can say I am a alum at TN. I heard if you took just one class from a university you were considered a alum.
