Yeah I am sure the admitted dictators election was on the up and up with 80% support?

If you have looked at the photos it's clear there is far more support against him than for him.

But dont worry I am sure you will find some American backer to some company over there that you can point at to blame everything on. Ignoring, as usual, all the civil unrest, problems in the nation, and history of government actions.

My wife’s niece is marching in those protests in Minsk. Hope it stays peaceful.
I befriended a young lady from Minsk on a cruise ship many years ago. To this day she was without a doubt one of the most beautiful women I have ever met in my life. I still have a crystal clear image of her in my mind. You're a lucky man.

She must have made quite an impression. This is the second time you’ve told me about her!

You don’t think Lukashenko will use his own forces sans an infusion from Russia ?
From what I’ve seen some of the police and military units have defected and are supporting the protests. That’s one reason he tried to appeal to Putin when he said “these protest are not just a threat to Belarus but also to Russia.”

He's right. Just like ANTIFA here in America, you have outside agent provocateurs.

I don't think Russia gets involved unless Belarus falls into chaos which could very well happen if their security forces defect on a large scale.

I believe that’s why Putin would like. The last 2-3 years the relationship between Putin and Lukashenko has been strained. Lukashenko accused Putin of attempting to annex Belarus. Russia cut its economic aid and then last month you had the Wagner contractors arrested and Lukashenko accused Putin of sending them but that could have been a political posturing ahead of the election. It Putin did say he would intervene of. His behave if asked.
