Hate to be contrary, but I see UGA having the talent to play us straight up and man to man. I see their front 4 being much better than bama and really getting heat on Hooker. Actually I feel UGA has a more talented roster across the board than bama except for QB. That being said, any team can have a stinker, and I think Saturday will be ours. It's just set up for that to play out. Give us the number 1 ranking and it's kryptonite. Dawgs burst our bubble Saturday. Won't complain at all though. Still having a helluva good season. Flame away.

‘99 Vols had a better roster, top to bottom (IMHO) than ‘98……yet they got a little complacent and gave up one to Florida and laid an egg against Arky…….a season after the championship. Georgia is better than UT (overall “star” wise), but they’re in that same spot. A season after a natty and fat and happy…..and came close to an egg against Mizzou. They very well may beat us…….then they very well may get beat down 🤷🏼‍♂️

I made it well known late Saturday night that while everyone else was celebrating the win, we were a bit "off" when we had the ball all game.

I am treating the KY game as our "stinker"

Carry on

Well I guess 10 teams in the country are worse than they are.

Concerned you're correct. Just hope it's UGA that has the stinker.

What a wuss! Some people can't take the pressure so they start making up reasons why TN will lose. It's called being a defeatist. Very rarely do they accomplish much in life because they are giving up before even trying. Could you imagine CH addressing the team with this BS? That's why he's coaching the #1 team in the nation while others sit in the comfort of their home and project their defeatism on others. What a loser mentality.

Many Vol fans say this and I always respectfully disagree. Al Wilson’s replacement wasn’t better than Al Wilson. Peerless Prices replacement wasn’t better than Peerless Price. Shawn Brysons replacement wasn’t better than Shawn Bryson. Jamal Lewis in ‘99 was worse than ‘98 Jamal Lewis and Travis Henry. You are what your record is. They were 9-3 with a lucky win over pathetic Memphis at home and ‘98 was 13-0.

I kinda felt the same… Hendon took a couple uncharacteristic sacks, that one early series we had a ton of penalties, we punted more than we had in an SEC game… “not sharp” is how I said it.

Edit to say, I am not a nega, I just think our team came away with a couple points of focus to work on and clean up against Georgia. I’m loving every SECOND of this season. Go Vols!

Bwahahahahahahhahahaha. Yes they are going to play one on one. That would be absolutely beyond stupid. Teams can not adjust now with the shifts and stacks to play one on one. You think anyone in their right mind wants to do that ? That GA DL isn't hood enough at getting sacks to take that kind of risk.

Had a shutdown D though, and top to bottom pro prospects, but I see your point. Shawn Bryson is one of the more underrated players in the history of UT. A fullback with track speed (only relegated to FB because we were loaded at TB)…….and I love Jamal Lewis, but his eyes were on the NFL that year.

These young men think they can win, thats all that matters Saturday. I will enjoy watching them try. They have earned a victory!

I’m sorry but Alabama is a better defensive team than Georgia this season imo. They have allowed almost the identical amount of points to teams not named Tennessee. The only reason we won’t score 50 on Georgia is because it is on the road. We will score about 40 points though and that will be plenty enough to win.

I disagree. Our front 4 is playing a different game and at a different level than last year. If you look at the film last year, we had opportunities to take the lead by a TD early in the game. Hooker missed Fant wide open in the red zone and we had to settle for a field goal. The game went from UT leading 10-7 to GA leading 14-10 and then they shut down our running game and the rest was history. Establishing the run game early will be the determining factor for us on Saturday. I agree their front 4 is better, but I don't think they're that much better than last year's front 4 so it will be an interesting matchup to watch.
