for anyone who is interested, the tip off for the Battle of the Boulevard is in about 5 minutes on CSS. Mike Hamilton is there, he just gave a radio interview to Brent Dougherty (probably misspelled) on 104.5 the Zone.

This is usually a good game to watch. Does directv carry CSS?

I graduated from Lipscomb. Always some good games. Sanderson vs Byrd. Both are very good coaches although I think CRB is a little better.

Lipscomb got robbed earlier this year in a loss to Arizona so they have a good team as well.

Go Bisons.

That place used to ROCK.

I helped rock it. Coach Meyer would save me a seat right behind the other team bench. It got brutal when we played the Rebels or the Trojans. Of course there were always a few of them behind our dugout when baseball rolled around, so it all evened out.

I loved Coach Meyer! I worked at his basketball camp every summer.

He was the best. I wish I could have played for him instead of Dugan.

Do you remember where coach Meyer's favorite place to eat was?

At least where I saw him all the time.

Yes, he did eat there a lot.
I said BK because he owned 5 or 6 of them around town. That is what he did with all that camp money he made.

Not nearly as many BKs around as there used to be. Downtown 4th Ave is long gone. 21st Ave next to Satco is now a Panerra (sp?). The one in Brentwood's a Chick fil A and the one in Green Hills is empty I think but was most recently the annex for a landscaping supplier. There used to be a rumor that if you asked for a Whopper with lettuce at the drive thru of the BK on Charlotte near downtown you'd get a 5 dollar garnish. Can't vouch for that last one.

I was around at Freed-Hardeman back in the mid 80's when Lipscomb played down in our conference. Some of the best fun I ever had watching BB period. So many classics, not just the games, but between the "city folk" fans of DLU and the "country kids" of FHU. We actually beat them a few times during my four years. On one trip to our court we dressed up in suits and tuxes and rocked the roof out with teh old go startthe bus routine as we beat them. They returned the favor by wearing overalls and straw hats on our trip to Nashville and shouted go start the tractor as they beat us. Classic. All we could do was give them a round of applause.
