Should have happened after he beat Tito in September 2001, but instead, RJ Jr wanted to fight mailmen, firefighters and ex-navy boxers.

I hope Hopkins beats him within an inch of his life...

Should be an interesting rematch after so many years since they last fought each other.

The only reason Hopkins broke his promise to his mom of not fighting after he turns 40 is because he still wanted a piece of Roy. Hopkins deserved 50/50 with Roy, but Roy kept moving the goalposts and jumping in and out of weight divisions to fight bums (Ruiz).

X is 45 right now, but at 35, when Roy was at his prime, I believe that X still would have been better than Roy and would have gotten a chance to expose him long before Tarver and Johnson did.

Well its hard to pick a winner even in their primes, but like any other fight, one solid punch can change the momentum. The way RJJ drops his hands i would like to see Hopkins land a few right on his jaw.

What's with all the dislike for Jones?...He's not my favorite, but I've never had a problem with him or the way he fights.

Its not so much dislike as it is just that he is cocky and shows off and he should have fought hopkins a long time ago.

True, but I would think it's hard not to be cocky or a showoff when you are that good in the sport. I do agree that he should have fought him again way before this.

He spent all of his time running from competition by fighting bartenders, off-duty cops and tomato cans. He went out of his way to use steroids and go up to heavyweight to fight a bum like Ruiz when the winner of the Tito-Hopkins fight was supposed to be the rematch he should have taken.

Roy will frustrate Hopkins, but I think Hop lands the big one and knocks Roy out in about round 8.
If the fight actually happens that is.

It's hard to say he ducked competition when he had already beaten Hopkins. Should a rematch have happened way before now? Yes, but I don't think Roy really dodged anyone.

He won by decision. It wasn't like Roy pummeled Hopkins. Plus, as I said before, the winner of the Tito/Hopkins fight was next in line to fight Roy.
Roy had to be dragged kicking and screaming to give Antonio Tarver a rematch, yet when he got DQ'ed when he was fighting Montell Griffin, he was granted a rematch immediately.

Hopkins got his revenge, now both of these guys can retire to stop.humiliating themselves.

However, Hopkins says he wants to fight David Haye for a share of the heavyweight title...jeez I hope not, that wouldnt be a good thing..
