Just imagine what Butch's classes will look like once he starts winning. What he's doing on the recruiting trail is incredible.

This. Another 2-3 years, the 3rd Saturday in October will be a preview of the SECCG. Outsiders may laugh, but Saban's first year at Bama was very similar. Mediocre record (they even lost a game they weren't supposed to, which we haven't), ending the year @ 7-6 after winning the Independence Bowl.

Yes. I think that when the next 2 classes are juniors/seniors and coming into their own, that Saban will be gone from Bama, so it could come together perfectly. I would even predict that Florida, Georgia, and Bama would all have a coaching change in the next 4-5 years. Throw in seasoned and talented roster with a coaching staff that is established, mixed with turnover at other schools, and I like the possibilities.

The only difference is that Saban wasn't playing the 2nd most difficult schedule in all of college football that season.

FWIW-A friend was at the Nashville sports fest a while back and talked to Eric and asked about the twins coming to UT....Eric something to the effect of "it's a done deal, no need to worry."

Man, I would LOVE it if you're right! I just have a feeling that Saban will be at Bama for quite a long time. His track record certainly suggests I'm wrong, and you're right, which I hope holds true.
