I was wondering how many people enjoy listening to Bert.....He is really fun to listen to in my opinion and he truly cares about Tennessee Basketball. I feel like he is a fan that cares just as much as I do. In the second half yesterday, My friend and I turned the ESPN volume down to listen to Bert's assessment of the action.
Bob is hard to listen to because he doesn't know what's going on, but we had the TV on so it was okay yesterday...

I like Bert. How could you not like a guy with the name Bert Bertelkamp?

I like Bert, too, but I can't listent to the radio when the games are on TV. There is about a 3 second delay that makes my brain bleed.

I always listen to the Vols Radio Network when they're on tv. Mickey Dearstone is great on the LadyVols broadcasts.

I like Bert because, he tells it like it is. He doesn't shoe polish the thing, if you stink he tells you, you stink. :post-20645-1119625378:

Bert is great to listen to.

Bert calls a spade a spade and has a tremendous knowledge and insight of the game that he can communicate to the average fan. Nice guy, too.

Regardless of others opinions, I think we have a very good broadcast and I listen while watching TV games and often while I am at the arena - not only when the game is radio only.

Perry, I actually like listening at the arena as well. The delay of the TV broadcast keeps me from listening while I watch though.

Freak -

I agree. Yesterday, the timing was off by a second or too until the first TV timeout. After that point, the timing (radio and TV) was in sync. I don't know why, but it seems to always be the case.

However, even when the broadcasts aren't in sync, I'll keep a bud in one ear with the sound low so I can jack it up during breaks in play, etc., to see what Bert's thinking.

Sometimes I'm just too wired to listen in TBA, but I always listen to pregame, halftime, etc., and as soon as the game is complete.

I probably don't usually make it until the first TV timeout. I may have to try that next time.

Bert is greatly appreciated, unfortunately I'm not able to listen that often.

Speaking of radio stuff, can't UT do better than BK? What ever happened to Charlie Mac? Might as well let him announce at 5 SEC schools.

The only announcer worse than BK is that idiot announcer at UF.

Oh myyyyyyy...how sickening.

I like bert too. His analysis last game was spot on. Bob Kesling is a lot better BB announcer then football IMO as well.
