Question regarding our best case scenario. Butch does Butch and starts landing big names at the very end and on NSD. Our three NFL-interested underclassmen return. What do we do?

Returns:
Cam Sutton
Jalen Reeves-Maybin
Alvin Kamara

Commits:
Landon Dickerson
Nigel Warrior
Mecole Hardman
Derrick Brown
Carlos Becker
Antonneous Clayton

Or take out one of my guys and insert your own more likely player. The core of my question is what do we do if get a lot of "takes" falling our way? Who is lowest on the commi totem pole? Who gets asked to blue/gray shirt? What else?

I think Cameron Sutton will be heading for the NFL.

Cam is likely gone, but there are quite a few junior CB's with similar draft grades as Sutton..if several of these guys declare, it could affect Cam's decision. Unlikely but possible.

Of the guys in your list, I'd say Becker is least likely to commit. As far as needs go, Clayton at DE is least needed right now. I would be happy if we land 3 of these guys...but even that seems unlikely at this point.

I'm asking about the kind of recruiting adjustments that need to take place if our best case scenario (whatEVER that is) occurs. Not what the best case scenario is.

My bad. .I'd probably replace Clayton with Laguins just bc that seems much more likely. And if all these guys commit, you will see like 3 GIT-shirts..which would possibly include 2 currently committed receivers and an lb..total guess. Again, after Butch's press conference statement about this class not being ranked highly tells me where he thinks we stand...seemed like he was preparing fan base for realistic expectations.

The #1 team in the country is ranked behind us in this, a lackluster recruiting year.

Some thing I will not discuss on a message board.

1. the so called totem pole positions. if we take 22, 25, 32 or however many are Vols on NSD, they are all equally important to me.

2. who blue/grey shirts just so we can add numbers. I leave that discussion between the coach and player.

Since recruits, family members, and friends of them have previously read and posted on this site, that is, IMO, disrespectful to discuss here. So, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you exercise your first amendment rights with care here?

If above, then Tennessee shakes up the world.

So legitimate questions such as, "say fellas, what happens if several guys fall our way?" are to go unanswered? I love every Vol as well, but they are ranked individually for a reason.

Understand families visit here. I also understand that the guys we are talking about all will get an opportunity to play college football somewhere for free. This isn't personal, just like when players deke schools and fan bases.

Seemed like an interesting question, but apparently it's too risqué for...a message board...

At the time of the post, it was true. Sorry for trying to provide some positive outlook there. MY BAD

So you start a thread and then get all pissy when someone contributes accurate information. Sounds about right.

Nah I get pissy when someone "fixes" a statement that was true when I stated.

But in other news, this question I posed to drive honest conversation has been flamed. /thread

JMO, but I think it's moot at this point. There's about 5 or 6 guys left that we have a legit shot with, and we'll be fortunate to get 2, maybe 3.

With 3 spots left, if we can't fill them with guys at the top of our board, I'd hold them for next year. The fish just ain't biting this year.

Becker & Clayton are mere distractions IMO.

Agree completely. The "git shirt" terminology needs to git. That is disrespect in the extreme.
