Choices they have listed are:

1.) Army-Navy
2.) Florida-Florida State
3.) Auburn-Alabama
4.) Michigan-Ohio State
5.) Cal-Stanford
6.) Texas-Oklahoma
7.) UCLA-USC

So which rivalry would you vote for? I voted and went with Michigan-Ohio State, which is leading in the polls by a huge margin.

ok that poll makes no sense.

army - navy is by far the best rivalry ever. i guess its just because of my background

I'd have to go with OSU/Michigan. Of all the choices, these two teams are more consistently in contention for the conference title and NC than any other of the team sets.

There has also been a tradition of the underdog ruining the season of the better (record-wise) team.

Finally, it is generally the last game of the year for these teams.

It is for many other teams, as well... Hence rivalry week.

The only reason nobody is voting for Army vs. Navy is because the game has no impact anymore. It is still by far the most storied rivalry, and now, because both teams put barely any players in the pros, this is the biggest game of their lives. And they play like it.

I have to say Auburn-Alabama. Michigan-Ohio State is also a close favorite. I also like the Army-Navy game cause most of the players in that game will actually graduate.

Army-Navy is the biggest nationally, but it's nowhere near the best rivalry, both teams arent good and its not a fun game to watch.

That's why I went with OSU-Michigan, I cant remember the last time they both played with nothing on the line, at least one team has something to lose in that game.

What do all the games on that list have in common?

For the most part, relatively equal talent. The only exception is USC vs. UCLA, but UCLA has been hitting a bad stretch and USC is obviously on a hell of a run. Alabama has consistently been not as good as Tennessee for the last decade or so, so the rivalry while steeped in tradition, has not been too spectacular as of late.

Yeah, but for the most part, Bammer's blunders over recent history has taken a lot of the impact out of the game.

For me, I like to think of Army/Navy but in reality....not many in the country get up for that game. It's the truth.

If I am going for the best rivalry...or in my terms the game the most people in the country will watch....

I would say Oklahoma/Texas right now....maybe Florida/Florida State.

Though OSU/UM is big in the Northeast...I have yet to see many down south care about it nor out west.

Spent time in California and the UF/FSU games were seen by a good few.

Auburn/Alabama is built up in the South but realistiscally not anywhere else, imo
