I posted that on here not too long ago. Bill is a friend of mine.
Sorry for the repost. I missed it.

I can't find it, but if you can dig it up I will fall on my own merging sword.

I think about 90% of the teams would absolutley drill the punter if that play was run. Alabama was absolutely asleep at the wheel.

He's also the fastest punter I've ever seen!

He attended Vandy because Dinardo promised him the opportunity to play H-back and tight end, although he did't really get any time at those positions. He turned down offers from Michigan and Ohio St., who only wanted him to punt.

He was fast, and from what I've heard, a very good runner in HS. He finished second in a lot of Illinois HS awards, but since the guy who won most of them was Mike Alstott, I'll give him a pass on that.

The only guy for Bama who knew it was a fake was the return man, and he never had a chance. In their defense, however, who would expect a fake inside the 20?

Another semi-interesting fact about that play--he lost a bottle of bourbon to me because of it. We had a standing bet about whether, given the opportunity to score a TD, he would do the Icky shuffle and spike the ball. He kind of got mauled by teammates in the endzone, but that is no excuse for not carrying through on a whiskey dare.
