Michael Beasley isn't just the best freshman, he's the best player in the country. Period.

Was about to say the same. He's dominated since the opening tip of the season. J.J. Hickson has also been another formidable big man at NC State.

Name someone who's playing better right now?
really can't. none of them are really playing any competition at this point. Rose v UConn was probably the closest.

Beasley's a frickin' stud, I just think his mentality will be his downfall sooner rather than later. He's probably the most gifted of the group, although I think Rose is the quickest player I've ever seen.

You're right. rose is not quicker than Iverson, but he one helluva lot bigger.

and I just don't like Beasley, so pains me to admit he's the best, though it's probably true.

Wow - Didn't realize the points JJ Hickson was putting up. Probably helps that he plays for NC State though...

But still... we were so close to landing him.

I'll take Rose, Gordon, Mayo, Beasley, and Love and beat any other five players in America badly.

Please - please don't extend the rule to 2 years in college before you can go pro. It's nice to see all this amazing talent in college.. but imagine having a freshman and sophomore class with players this amazing. :eek:hmy:

And if a team got a hold of 2 of these superstars...

I'm sure Tim Floyd would love to pair Mayo and Demar DeRozan next season. Ben Howland wouldn't be averse to running Love and Jrue Holiday out there together in '08-'09.
