Howdy again Vols. Congrats on making the playoffs in the inaugural year of the expanded format!

Here's a charge to whup some Buckeyes and play to your highest potential Saturday.

Go Vols and Boomer Sooner.
Since OU and Bama both wear ‘crimson’, is there a difference in your shades?
E.g. Tennessee wears the lightest shade of Orange in college sports. Our color is called Pantone 151c.

Our shade of crimson and Bama's shade of crimson actually look pretty close to me.

If anything, OU's might be a little darker shade.

There are certainly lighter shades of orange than ours ( Pantone 151 C Color | Hex color Code #FF8200 information | Hsl | Rgb | Pantone ) ...

... and there are many darker shades. At the limits, it becomes hard to tell the lightest oranges from yellows, or the darkest oranges from reds. For instance, Florida's shade of orange often looks almost red to me.

Ours is the purest, and to me the most beautiful, shade of orange.

Go Vols!

Bama's shade is a little different because it has some poop mixed into it.

Looking into it, according to the internet (which is never wrong),

the Sooners Pantone colors are PMS 201 C for crimson and PMS 468 C for cream.
the Tide Pantone colors are are PMS 201 C for crimson and PMS 430 C for gray.

Just visually, I think our jerseys look a little deeper. . .

I just tell everyone that, since He blessed us with those daisies on the Hill, that it's the Lord's favorite color, and everyone knows it!

Thanks Sooner fan! That's the way it should be...Just get ready though... You be the judge of other fanbases in the SEC.. You'll see.. By the way, I'm sure most VOL FANS know the story behind the orange and white school colors, but here's one for you. It was chosen by the president of the athletics program at UT in 1892. Nowadays that would be called the AD. It was from, the American Daisy, that grew all over the campus hill back then. Covering the whole hill. The center of the daisy is the pantone 151c color. And it's pedals were white.

Hey Sooner Fan, thanks for the best wishes, and for beating Bama to make sure we got in.

OU is close to my heart, went to school there in the 80's when Switzer was coaching, and got to see the Boz and Dupree. That was great football back then in that era. Boomer Sooner!

Switzer is an Oklahoma treasure. I think he's more entertaining than Mike Leach was. One of my favorite Switzer stories is the recruitment of Spencer Tillman. Tillman was a great RB and a captain of our 1985 national championship team. He was highly recruited out of a well known Tulsa high school powerhouse. Tillman is black and from a well to do family. His parents were very demanding and had strict rules on behavior -- they leaned very formal when entertaining guests. When Switzer visited their home to recruit Spencer, Switzer stayed his very informal self rather than matching their formalness. After shaking hands, he went over to a sofa and sat himself down, then put his shoes-clad feet up on the coffee table -- something that would draw an *extreme reaction* from his parents! Tillman said he thought his mother was going to absolutely berate Switzer. But then, Switzer turned to Mrs. Tillman and said -- "your cornbread -- do you make it with regular milk or butter milk?". Stunned, Mrs. Tillman answered and before long, they were talking as if they had known each other for many years. His parents chose Oklahoma.
