I voted 1996 Florida.....Best offense in the nation, Solid D...unstoppable. Dominated FSU in the Sugar Bowl. People don't give them credit because they lost to FSU in the regular season.......I would point out that the game was in Tallahassee, Florida had some injuries, and on a nuetral field Gators whipped ass.

96 Gators margin of victory was 30 pts/gm that yr. How they only won at Vandy by a TD still boggles my mind. :question:

i think the 1998 vols should be in there. i voted for alabama. they were then only undefeated national champion on the list.

I had to go with Bama. Florida had a great offense in 96 but you can't dismiss the fact that they did lose a game.

The 92 Bama team and the 96 Florida team would have been a great game. I think Bama would take them on the strength of that awesome defense they had.

Oh well, they had the best defense Longan Young's bucks could buy.

Isn't it wonderful watching them play by the same rules as everyone else?

Bama and FU are definatley the to two on that list. Though I hate to say it I would have to go with FU on this one. I think they played and beat higher caliber teams than 92 bama. JMO

What makes 92 bama D any better than 96 Florida?

The 96 Florida team probably had more NFL players on both sides of the ball, plus the fact that I give Florida a much better chance of scoring on Bama with Wuerful and all those other folks than I give bama a chance of scoring with Jay Barker.

Florida had just as good of a D and a Machine on Offense.
