Mine would be to make as many first downs as possible, grind the clock, and keep it out of their hands.
Can we do that?.

Of course the D will have to pick it up a notch. (Open field tackling).

What would be your game plan against Bama?.

Study the Texas A&M game. They can be beat. Worley continues error free football then it goes to the wire. This can be the biggest upset in Tennessee history. What a golden opportunity.

Buy out.
Don't think we'll score on them.
Defense could maybe.

I said in the recruiting forum before the USC game that we could beat USC if we won the turnover battle and we scored TD's in both halves. This UT team is not flashy they just excel at sound football.
I'm less concerned with a specific scheme as I am in us not turning it over, playing solid special teams, and creating turnovers on D. Unfortunately that's the blueprint for Bama also so we'll have to have some luck to stay close.
I like our chances to keep it closer than some of the other teams Bama has faced aside from A&M but I can't see us winning.

Biggest upset in the fact that we would take the NC favorite out of NC talks entirely. I don't think a single loss bama whose loss is to an unranked team would make it back to the NC with the likes of Ohio State and Oregon just beating up on people. While I'd love to see the SEC still dominate the National Championship, I'd gladly accept us being the reason that an SEC team isn't in it.

if we can just score more points I think we have a shot, but if bama scores more it's gonna be tough sledding.

I dont think we compare to A&M at all. I think we should be looking at the Ole Miss game for notes. Our defense is much more similar to theirs, and if we can hold McCarron to 180yds 0tds and 1 int then Id be happy. We have to stop the run though, Bama ran all over Ole Miss. We are not going to score 42 points on this team. If our offense can get us in the high 20s low 30s then we might have a shot. I dont see that happening unless Im really underestimating Worley.

Special teams better be ready. Their
kickoff and punt returner is good. (Christian Jones)

Beating Bama is simple. Stop the run on D. Run for 200 + on O. Worley needs to be efficient in a limited passing game with no ints, which he's done a good job of as of late.

Doing it is gonna be the hard part.
