Best thing Butch Jones said

I hope he can teach these kids to win. CDD did not do that. He taught them to loose.

Winning comes not only from talent, but from the mind. If you believe you will win and you put ALL of your effort into it you will win more often than not.

If Jones can teach that we will be fine.

I also like that he said this was his dream job. If he wants to be here he is one step ahead of all those other guys that turned us down.

Morally loose or just with the football? If its the latter I agree....can't afford to lay it on the turf.

My favorite thing was him saying it was his dream job

ha ha ha ha....

My favorite thing will be when he leads the club house in a round of "we don't give a da** about the whole state of Alabama."

Until then I will just keep watching

I was hoping he was going to say something about singing Rocky Top all night long after he beats Florida and Georgia.

Well he definitely likes Tennessee more than Cincinnati, Colorado and Wisconsin.

But I hear his real dream job is Michigan. Of course some people have more than one dream so I'll assume Tennessee is one of his too.

"There's no reason we shouldn't win" (after describing how great of a place UT is)

His meeting with the players was much better than his presser in my opinion. It was there that I saw how much he wanted to be here.

I think he truly believes this is one of the best places in college football. When you believe that, losing and excuses are unacceptable.

"Absolutely not... I think I was my wife's third choice."

"Defensively, we are going to be a team that is going to swarm to the football and causes turnovers. We'll be a team that doesn't beat itself."

For me, the best quote he said was the one about how great coaches mold their offensive schemes to their players' abilities.

I'm a military history buff, and all the great generals had this talent. Look at Napolean's battles, he almost never used the same tactics on consecutive campaigns. He always molded his schemes based on what he had, and what the enemy had (among other things, of course.)

But that statement let me have a peek inside his head, and I liked what I saw.
