Most of you here know me from other UT boards over the past few years. One might ask why a Alabama fan spends so much time on UT Vol boards. The anwser to that question is very simple.....
I joined the old utvols.com board back in October of 2000 in order to trash talk the Vols. But somewhere along the way I found that the Vol fans there were pretty darn good people. So I stayed there as a peaceful instigator until the board closed down. Then I even ended up helping in designing and running the newer version of the utvols.com board until I was asked to leave with a few other of the "old timers"
I have lived in Tennessee my entire life, most of my friends are UT Vol fans. I do actually respect and admire many of the things that the Vols have done over the past years. I watched the '85 Sugar Bowl as Tennessee beat Miami. I watched in '90 or '91 when the Vols came from behind to beat Notre Dame. I sat in a Pennslvania truck stop back in 1998 and watched the Vols beat Florida St.
I like to trash talk just as much as the next person, but I also very seldom take it personal when I get trashed back. I do not make it personal by insulting any one person, I don't name call, I don't want to fight when someone talks back about my Bama. When the game is over and we all go back to being our normal selfs we can all get along together in peace and harmony.
God does not care whether you wear Orange or Crimson. We are all equal in his eyes and we should treat each other that way.
So next week when we get ready for what I consider the greatest football rivaly in the world, let us remember that it is just a game and we are all human beings.
God Bless, Roll Tide, and Go Big Orange
