Most of you here know me from other UT boards over the past few years. One might ask why a Alabama fan spends so much time on UT Vol boards. The anwser to that question is very simple.....

I joined the old utvols.com board back in October of 2000 in order to trash talk the Vols. But somewhere along the way I found that the Vol fans there were pretty darn good people. So I stayed there as a peaceful instigator until the board closed down. Then I even ended up helping in designing and running the newer version of the utvols.com board until I was asked to leave with a few other of the "old timers"

I have lived in Tennessee my entire life, most of my friends are UT Vol fans. I do actually respect and admire many of the things that the Vols have done over the past years. I watched the '85 Sugar Bowl as Tennessee beat Miami. I watched in '90 or '91 when the Vols came from behind to beat Notre Dame. I sat in a Pennslvania truck stop back in 1998 and watched the Vols beat Florida St.

I like to trash talk just as much as the next person, but I also very seldom take it personal when I get trashed back. I do not make it personal by insulting any one person, I don't name call, I don't want to fight when someone talks back about my Bama. When the game is over and we all go back to being our normal selfs we can all get along together in peace and harmony.

God does not care whether you wear Orange or Crimson. We are all equal in his eyes and we should treat each other that way.

So next week when we get ready for what I consider the greatest football rivaly in the world, let us remember that it is just a game and we are all human beings.

God Bless, Roll Tide, and Go Big Orange

Hey Kevin81 Nice to see you here. I just started to post here, mostly because they finally un-blocked the site from work.

As I have only know kevin81 from another board that I still visit, he's not lying when he says that he can take trash talking and not take it personal. I have seen him take some bad abuse and let it roll down the other side. So if’n you haven’t meet this Bama fan yet give him a break, heck he’s knocking himself just being a bama fan.

Thanks.

It is hard enough being a Bama fan and living in Tennessee amoungst all the Vol fans. Us Bama fans finally have a little something to brag about this year....so far.

The Tennessee game will be tough as usual and I hope it is played with no injuries to any of the players or the fans.

All that legal crap that went on last year was uncalled for and did nothing but hurt the game. Facts are that Bama cheated and they got caught. Who cares one way or the other who it was that drawed attention to the fact. They need to just let things go and let the kids play the game on the field and not worry about all the other crap.

I am of the opinion that if Bama gets back to being a top 10 program that it will help the rivalry and people will forget about the off-field mess.

Back before Alabama fell from grace and fell from the ranks of the top teams in the country Alabama/Tennessee was THE game of the year. But then for several years Florida/Tennessee and Georgia/Tennessee became the big matchups in the SEC.

Actually Alabama/Auburn in the biggest game for the Bama fans, but because I live in Tennessee I take more of a liking to the Alabama/Tennessee game each year.
