I was thinking about this earlier. Are the movies that come out in the Summer better than the movies that come out during Thanksgiving/Christmas?

Sure you get the Summer blockbusters, but those are mostly big budget action movies. Thanksgiving/Christmas brings a lot to the table in the way of more dramatic movies. Summer will probably win out due to it's length. But I don't know, what about you all?

Usually production companies keep the movies they think might win Oscars in their back pocket until a few months before the awards. I love all the comic book movies like Iron Man, Batman, Watchmen, etc. that come out in the summer, so it's hard to decide.

Late Spring / Summer.

...I typically have no real interest in the movies the Oscars favor, more often than not.

I prefer the dramas and comedies so I take the fall and winter. I don't think it's as much as the production companies keeping them in their backpocket, it's just a seasonal thing. Big budget action/sci fi movies are typically made for summer and the fall and winter are for dramas. I'm just not really into the comic book stuff or the heavy action movies personally.
