Best Vols Podcast/Radio Show

Just a little BYE WEEK boredom post..

Which radio show/podcast is your favorite?

If I have to pick, I'd probably go with a near tie between the EA Show and Josh and Swain. I like hearing the thoughts of former players combined with hosts that can guide the conversations. The other shows, both the podcasts and the Youtube stuff, they don't really do much for me. If a show is dudes talking about sports, but there's no unique insight or value to the conversation, I don't care for it very much. Especially when the hosts are either too biased or too informal.

Also, this poll reminds me of how much I miss Sportstalk in the afternoons. That show always had solid, grounded commentary, with a good balance of observations and statistics to keep things moving. It had a good pace. Whatever that show is that replaced it, man ... pfew, it is rough stuff. I tuned in once and, after hearing fifteen minutes of car commercials, some guy was on there telling me to close my eyes and "picture it," with the "it" being Joe Milton's Heisman campaign. Then the dude went on about believing it could happen. Just - wow. Wow. That was it for me. I don't even listen after Josh and Swain go off the air anymore.

I do enjoy Tony B's 5th Quarter. But throughout the week i cannot listen to him. I feel like the sky is falling most of the time with him. Sometimes hes spot on with it but i dont need that negativity in my life

Can't believe you didn't include the Dave Hooker Show. I really enjoy listening to Caleb; he seems very knowledgeable. Not too big on Swain event; it's like it takes him two minutes to speak one sentence.

It’s not the same without Roger calling in to the different shows. I’m not sure what all ones he called in to, but I know he would call in to Basilio, the Drive, and Sunday mornings with Jimmy Hyams and the judge. He was a true VFL.

Once he stated bad mouthing players personally, he lost me. Others have better than his so called sources. His post game podcast on Twitter feed has about 200 listeners while Fan Run has well over 600, the people know who is better.
