Going only off of NCAA performance (so no Moss, TO, Ochocinco, Andre Johnson, etc.)

IMO, probably comes down to:
Larry Fitzgerald - Pitt
Calvin Johnson - Ga Tech
Michael Crabtree - Texas Tech

other nominees:
Charles Rogers - Mich St
Braylon Edwards - Michigan
Mike Williams - USC
Jeff Samardzija - ND
Dwayne Jarrett - USC
Dez Bryant - Okla St
Julio Jones - Bama
A.J. Green - UGA

Who ya got?

Probably Crabtree. Bryant was ridiculous but the NCAA kept us from seeing just how great he could have been.

Crabtree. Really wish we could've seen another season of Bryant.

If we're only going off NCAA performance, Rashaun Woods belongs on this list as well. Maybe Roy Williams also.

Why couldn't Andre Johnson be included? I thought he played for Miami.

But anyway to answer the question I would have to go with Crabtree as well. But it would have been nice to have seen what all Dez could have done with another full year.

Also, another OSU WR Justin Blackmon is a beast. He will be the #1 WR in the entire country this year IMO. And he will just be a junior.

Ive got nothing.

I cannot find a way to argue with anything you have on the list, except to ask if your "other nominees" were in any order, or just putting them in off the top of your head. In that list I would but Dez and Jarrett above cRog, and Braylon down to the bottom and them Smardzinimnopq down below Braylon.

Looks like a good list either way.

Calvin Johnson gets a definite nod because of the system he was in at Georgia Tech.

I'd have to say, though, out of everyone on that list the most amazing to watch were Dez Bryant and AJ Green.

I don't remember him being quite on this level while in college. It might just be my memory not being great but I think of L Fitzgerald, C Rogers, and B Edwards as the real cream of the crop during the 01-02 years.

Yeah I thought about putting him on here (esp since he won the Biletnikoff over AJ and Julio last year). I think Broyles might give him a run for best WR this year though.

Roughly chronological order of when they played

AJ was hurt for a large portion of the season.

If Garcia can throw the ball, the Biletnikoff will be a bronze statue of a dude pumping gas...

Also, it helps playing in the Big 12 where the defenses are horrible.

I'd take Fitgerald over either of them. He was their entire offense. Everything was geared toward him and he still dominated.

Everyone in that offense put up insane numbers but I'd take Larry Fitz.

Antonio Bryant was a great one right before him. Not in Fitzgerald's league, but another of the top college receivers over the last decade.

Being the only offensive weapon on your team as a wr is very tough, so fitzgerald gets props there. But ill take crabtree as the best college receiver of the last decade.

I would also say Fitzgerald had by far the worst QB. Dude was a linebacker they converted.

I'll take Fitzgerald. His production was astounding considering the attention he got from opposing defenses.
