He offered me $100 and claims that Kentucky will beat us by more than 25 at Rupp next year. Anything less than 25 or if Tennessee wins I win. Easy money imo. :pimp_2:

Yeah, your friend is a really arrogant Kentucky fan...though I guess that's redundant

I normally wouldn't place a bet on a game like this, and yes, UK will be stacked next year. I would ONLY accept that bet after April 16 when we know for sure if Stokes and McRae are still on the team or NBA bound. If they stay, take it.

my ex girlfriend and I used to make bets kinda of like this whenever UT/KY would play. Except instead of money, well. you get the idea.

I always at least covered because she was too cocky. I can't hate on dumb KY fans after nearly two years of that.

I live in Lexington.... they are already guaranteeing a national championship. .I say easy money for sure. .. they will probably be better than this past season but we all know Calimari can't coach so if players don't gel... they will repeat as most overrated team in ncaa history.

After missing the NCAAs, I figured their expectations/demands would go through the roof again. If they miss the Final Four next year, I bet the heat on his seat starts going up. Suppose they lose in the Elite Eight and have a ton of guys declare for the Draft and end up struggling again in 2014-15. They won't stand for that up there.

I prefer to imagine the egos clash, the upperclassmen turn on the freshman, the Harrison twins turn against each other and UK loses to Robert Morris in the NIT again :)

Do we actually know that we are playing at Rupp next year? My understanding is that we won't play Kentucky twice again until 2016, so there's a 50/50 chance we won't play at Rupp next year. The SEC schedule hasn't already been announced has it?

You better hope Stokes and McRae don't leave you probably still win win but with them you seem to have a very safe bet.

The NCAA should just let him use the Charlotte Bobcats instead of recruiting new guys to UK. It would work out about the same for everyone.

Can't wait to see the Harrison's vs Cal, Randle, and the returners. Those guys are very talented, but head cases. Lol @ that guy trying to tell us these guys all have great chemistry, and they haven't practiced or played together yet.

My Louisville buddies and other rational friends all seem resigned to the fact that Kentucky will win it next year. Really surprised me that none of them saw the potential issues we all see.

That's a stacked team. No one can deny that. But they aren't such a sure bet to win it all as people are implying. My buddies seem to think Wiltjer, Polson, Hood, Poythress, and Stein can provide the 'Darius Miller' that the 2012 team had. I say bull****. None of those guys have the leadership ability that he had, and none of them (besides Cauley and Poythress) will be significant parts of the playing rotation.

They could win, but I don't see them as a heavy favorite. One of the favorites yes, but not the favorite.

What sux is that even in a chitty year the UK fans avoid getting ripped. I mean none of them even seem to care about this year. Its like "well those kids couldnt win it all so lets replace them. See...best class ever...we will go undefeated next year!" I hope stokes and jordan come back and we can lay one on them! Getting sick of Cal and UK! The fans didnt care about the SEC tourney, the NIT tourney and by the time the season was over, they didnt even care about their team! Just all the 17 and 18 year olds comming in to replace them! Shame on them for embarrassing the school and our league with that crap!

I agree that they're not necessarily a heavy favorite, but they're definitely the favorite right now. Who else would it be? Louisville minus Siva and probably Smith? Michigan State? Arizona?
