Writing in Poland's Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper, Mr. Putin condemned the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop treaty as immoral.

The pact secretly split the Baltics and parts of eastern Europe between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany. Historians say it encouraged Germany to invade Poland on September 1, 1939, setting off the war.
Considering the estimated number of Russians killed in WWII is between 20-40 million. I'm sure Russia does regret that little bit of treachery.

That treaty bit Russia on the ass, like no other political action has ever bitten any nation in the history of mankind.

The lives of twenty to forty million peasants are meanignless, the USSR profited greatly from WW II, looking at it from a socialist point of view.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was denied until 1989, after the Reagan engineered fall of the USSR and the actual document was recovered from Soviet archives.

Russia would certainly have fallen to Germany except for the fierce resistance of the Serbians that tied up Russian armies all summer before the invasion of Russia, giving Russia the terrible winter to assist them during their defense and how were the Serbians rewarded????

They were betrayed post war to the rule of the communist Croatian dictator, Tito.

As if that were not enough, after many years of persecution by Tito and the Serbs endured to become prominent again, Croatia seceded and claimed territory that had been inhabited by Serbians for 500 years, having been forcefully moved there by the Austrian empire to be a buffer against muslim armies commanded by the Ottoman empire.

The first and greatest genocide and ethnic cleansing in the recent Balkan conflict occured when 20,000 Serbs were slaughtered and 200,000 were forced to remove themselves to safety in Serbia.

Using genocide and ethnic cleansing as an excuse, Clinton duplicated Hitler's example and surprise bombed the Serbian capitol of Belgrade, coincidentally or or purpose, on one of Christianity's most Holy days.

That among other things is probably why there were record numbers of officer resignations in our military during the Clintonista administration.

What was the outcome of the Balkan conflict??

Elements who were aligned with national socialist Hiter came to power in Croatia, Islamo/fascists who also were aligned with Hitler and currently have strong ties to Iran rule Bosnia, the heartland of Serbia, Kosovo, is now controlled by Albanian elements contolled by islamic terrorists slash criminal unerworld leaders who are in the process of expulsion of any remaining Serbs while they destroy any evidence of Christianity in the region while building mosques to replace churches, one of which was named "Usama bin Laden mosque" until political pressure had them rename it.

They still have their "Bill Clinton Avenue" though.

The Serbians have turned to Russia for assistance as did Ho Chi Mihn after Slick Willy's hero Woodrow Wilson rejected his offer of friendship and plea for assistance against the colonial (Vichy) French at the end of WW I.

In '62 I entered an intensive Russian language school, only the Russian language was permitted in class after the first two weeks. The headmaster was a Lithuanian emigree and he was appalled and angry none of us knew that Lithuania (and the other Baltic states, Latvia and Estonia) were independant countries prior to WW II.
