If you like to wager you should check Erik Evans' picks weekly. All free, no login, no accounts, no nothing. Just click on it and read. The only problem is that it's on a Bama website. But the author is pretty good, Last year he says his record was 131-81 against the spread and his weekly top picks were18-1 against the spread. I didn't count them but I can vouch that his weekly "mortal lock" pick always won. I don't remember the one he got wrong. I don't bet, but his column is fun to read every week. On the Roll Bama Roll website the column's title is "Giving Away Money". Usually comes out on a Thursday. Feel free to ignore if this suggestion is upsetting. Maybe bookmark the site, read his column on Thursdays, and never tell anyone. Website: rollbamaroll.com

My background... I am an Alabama graduate and saw four Alabama-Tennessee games 1967 to 1971. We lost every one. I originally started reading this site daily because I wanted to laugh at comments when Tennessee was losing. But now I read it because it actually has worthwhile commentary and very little bad language like many football fan websites. I actually pull for Tennessee in their non-Bama games. One more thing: Thank you for the incredible gift of Henry Too Too. All commentary on Alabama websites cannot say enough great things about him.

I originally posted this in the football forum but moderators moved it to the NCAA forum. I will repost in the football forum again in mid-season.. Then you can laugh at my suggestion or wish you had seen this earlier. Depending on how Erik Evans' predictions come out. I doubt it will get many views here in the NCAA section. That's ok. I tried.

Have a great season.

@adowns ...I appreciate the info. Your boy picked 2 winners today with Illinois winning outright as he predicted and Fresno St. covering the -27.5. Thanks!

I’m on:

Tennessee -34.5 (missed out on 33.5)
Bama -18.5
Oregon +11.5 against Ohio St (week 2)

We will see. I deposit a set amount at the beginning of each year and if the account hits $0 I stop. Be safe betting guys.

I hardly ever bet on Tennessee. But BG lost all 5 of their games last year by 25+ and those teams aren’t as talented as us. They also don’t play an exotic offense. Not much to guess on. Feel free to comment on or trash my picks ha.

I'm really on the fence of picking Clemson to cover. I feel like they're gonna win by a couple of TD's.

I like to stay away from games like that in week 1. New QB at Clemson (yes we’ve seen him but it’s a big matchup for your first game as the man). UGA, I’m not a believer in Daniels but they have a very talented defense. I don’t know what the under is, but if I was betting that game I’d contemplate the under if the number is high enough.

Bama is a different bet even with a new QB. They have 3 spectacular LBs that will hunt King down on the run. Elite defense against a top 20 opponent I feel a little better than two top 5 teams with a whole offseason since the last game.

The show Daily Wager on ESPN is pretty good. Will give you some bets to think about.
