BTBAM have become one of my favorite bands. They are just insanely talented. It took me a little while to warm up to them, but I definitely appreciate everything they bring to the table.

They recently got some good publicity in a flattering review as their entire album Colors (2007) was voted 3rd best metal song of the 2000s (weird, I know, but the review explains it).
No. 3: Between the Buried and Me, ‘Colors’ – Top 21st Century Metal Songs

These guys also have a new album coming out in a few days. They've released this video, which I think is pretty awesome.

I know it's a slim chance, but are there any other BTBAM fans here?

I love BTBAM. I've seen them live a few times and they are insane. They did an AMA on reddit last week, too.

Yeah I've actually seen them twice, but it was before I was a really big fan. I still remember being blown away by their live performances though. They are one of the few bands that I really like that actually come through Knoxville. Since I've been living here, I know they've come at least twice, and I missed them both times! :banghead2:

You have a favorite album or song? Not gonna lie, I think my favorite is The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues EP. All three of those songs are freaking sick.

For sure! They are progressive metal, and obviously really heavy. If you're in to this kind of level of metal, I'm sure you will enjoy.

This is one of their biggest songs, a bit old at this point, and not as refined as their more recent releases, but still a classic.

I had to travel to St. Louis to see them, among 6 other bands the last time (As I Lay Dying, Acacia Strain, blessthefall, etc.). My favorite song is probably the entire Colors album. Selkies and Alaska come close, too. I don't have all of their albums, or have even heard all of them, I think.

EDIT: Actually, I'm listening to Colors at work. Prequel to the Sequel is my favorite.

Oh yeah, that's one of my favorites. The guest vocalist on that track is the guitarist from Fear Before The March Of Flames, my favorite band.

I had completely forgotten about Fear Before the March of Flames. Guess I'll have to make a Spotify playlist for them.

My mind is pretty much blown. Can't believe that someone else on VN likes BTBAM and Fear Before.

I used to listen to them quite often. Still like Alaska the best. The album "anatomy of", I believe that's what it was called at least, is pretty awesome as well. They cover songs that influenced them from bands like sepultura, queen, Metallica. Check it out if you haven't already. Fear before brings back memories as well. Feel old now LOL.

Oh yeah, I have all of their CDs. My favorites have been from Colors and forward. They're just so innovative and dynamic.

As for Fear Before, The Always Open Mouth is my #1 favorite album all time. Really really like Art Damage too.

Going to buy it tomorrow, or at least download it on Spotify. So many anticipated albums dropped this this week. Good thing I got paid yesterday. Coheed and Cambria, BTBAM, Macklemore, The Acacia Strain. There's more that I'm forgetting, too.
