I just got a phone call from supposedly the IRS,so I called my friend,he is a CPA and he told me there is a phone scam going on

the message on my answering machine said the IRS is filing a law suit against me and to call 206 866 5597

my friend said it doesn't work that way and if they call back,to just hang up on them

he said that a person in East Tn,was giving the scammers a hard time about it,while he was talking to them, since he knew it was a scam

I don't know any details about it,I assume he was just dragging the call out and playing dumb

then the police showed up,answering a 911 call, saying that a rape had been reported there, the IRS scam was the only ones they thought that would do such a thing

Did they have an indian accent, like they were from New Delhi? :)

These indian idiots call saying they are from Microsoft, trying to say there is something wrong with the security of your computer. They called me a couple times, I bust out my indian accent and start messing with them. It's hilarious because they try really hard not to break character.

They're suing me because I never disclosed my winnings from the Australian lottery, better to send them my credit card information than to risk running afoul of them.

Oh man, I lit them up one time. I asked which computer, they said "you're Microsoft, blah blah". I told them there were 6 computers in my house that ran Microsoft and which one was the problem. I was sweet as sugar. I think the clinical term is really passive aggressive.
Anyways, they kinda got huffy and I just said, you're gonna have to tell me which one has the issue. One more round of vague huffines and I lowered the boom. Told them i knew they were a scam and if they ever called back I'd call the state police and fbi. Have t heard from them since
