What part of Birmingham do you live in? I lived there for 18 years and loved the last 6 before I moved to Chattanooga in 2001. I went to High School at Vestavia and graduated from Hoover Hign School.

Yah. I graduated with Syd's brother Scott and she has another older brother named Brad. I graduated in 1999. I went to Vestavia my freshman year, played baseball, and then played at Hoover until my Junior year and then Graduated from Hoover High school. I didnt notice any of the chicks from the Vestavia pictures. How old are you? Did you graduate from Hoover or Vestavia?

Acutally, I graduated from HS in Tennessee. The girls in the pic graduated from VHHS in 2003 so you wouldn't have known them (one is my daughter!). My daughter was the middle blocker on her volleyball team. Needless to say, she was happy when Sid decided not to play VB her senior year. My daughter still has knots on her head from Sid's spikes!

I have a son playing baseball for VHHS. Coach Dunn passed away last year so we are breaking in a new coach. New guy looks like a keeper. Maybe another state championship. :)

Who replaced coach Dunn? Was it Bruce Evans or Cas McWatters? John Wyman?

I used to date a girl who lived in Hoover, one weekend when I was visiting we had a "Tiff", long story short I ended up drowning my sorrows with my first experience chasing beer with pepermint snapps! Man what a hangover! It didn't help matters that the smallest bottle of PS we could find was a gallon!

Dal Davis replaced Sammy. Dal was an assistant for 3 or 4 years at VH. He was at Pleasant Grove before then. He's 32 years old but looks about the age of his players. We are 4-0 already this season and have scored 40 runs and given up 2 unearned and 1 earned run. Here's my favorite VH baseball player, #21.
