I just read this heading off the ESPN website:

"The Thundering Herd are 0-2 on the road this season and lost their only meeting with Tennessee back in 2004. But which Vols' team shows up -- the one that pounded Cal or the one that has struggled since the opener?"

Struggled? STRUGGLED??!!! We almost- and should have- beat the number 5th ranked team in the nation. Sure some aspects of our team need some work. But Struggling is HARDLY the word I'd use to describe the Vols right now.

ESPN is only trying to stir things up. They love to SEC teams "struggle" and love to talk about it

Another case of score-watching to make an argument.

Which, in the end, that's all that matters of course.

I agree. ESPN games day guys have never given us much respect. Im talking about Corso and Herbstreet. Chris Fowler seems to like more than the other two.

Herbstreit gives us plenty of 'speck. Fowler is eh... Kind of an idiot, sometimes makes some points. And Corso is just a jacka** in a mascot head.

Herbstreet loves the Big 10. Of course he went to Ohio State. Even though Corso went to school at Florida State. He still likes the Big 10 the best.

Did you know Herbstreet and Corso voted for Charles Woodson to win the Heisman. At least Fowler voted for Peyton.

Sorry SWIL, but we SHOULDN'T have beaten Florida, and we were lucky to be in the position we were in. Florida outclassed us this past Saturday. I'm glad we hung in there.

I find Corso mildly amusing and entertaining.

As for who he does and doesn't pick... eh, we've all got opinions.

I agree with your comments. The better won this past saturday night at Neyland Stadium.

I'm amused by him, but I never take him seriously. He's the clown on the show and does a pretty good job in that role making an ass of himself. :shaking2:=Corso

To be realistic... we have struggled these last two games. Yeah we lost to Forida by one point. But that is more evidence that they are vulnerable. Two picks thrown and no running game in the biggest game of the year. That is struggling.... point blank.

Not to mention, We almost lost to Air Force.... No matter how confusing the flexbone is. That is embarassing. And we follow it up with an absolute failure in any attempt to even run the ball against our arch rival and lose at home.

If we don't want the talking heads in the media to drag us through the dirt, we gotta start kickin ass again.

If fulmer doesn't get this team in gear by the end of next season.....

yeah.

Excellent point. Corso is a clown and his coaching resume proves it. The way I see it, the more the Big Orange is mentioned, in any light, the better. Need to keep our illustrous name "in the mix" as I have heard somewhere. When you are forgotten then all is lost!!!!

I suppose your right. I just feel so strongly that we could have; especially with the score at 17-7 in the 3rd. But the faster race car ran outta gas that day.

We did get out-played at the end. I just wish we could've at least gotten close enough to give Wilhoit a chance :pinch:

I don't think we are in as bad a' shape as everyone claims. If we have problems with Marshall- then I might buy it- but not right now.

GO VOLS!!:shades:
