according to CBS Sports

Bret Bielema has reported interest in the Illini after Lovie Smith's firing. He is the most high-profile coach in a crowded field that includes Arkansas defensive coordinator Barry Odom, Oklahoma defensive coordinator Alex Grinch, Buffalo coach Lance Leipold, Army coach Jeff Monken and Miami (Ohio) coach Chuck Martin. Bielema has shown interest in several college jobs since being fired at Arkansas in 2017. He is currently working in his third season as an NFL assistant.

Just saw it was Bielema. I can't believe anyone would hire him after the crap he pulled with the Arkansas buyout, that should have exposed his true character.

Look how quickly he found a coaching job after Arkansas stopped paying him his buyout when he tried to be Belichik' s assistant for basically zero pay to try to milk them for the full payout.

He didn’t pull the crap. He took a lower paying job with the Patriots and they thought they could save some money.

Isn’t that lawsuit ongoing? They’ll end up paying it and adding legal costs.
