Biffle stays with Rousch

My first impulse was to say I'm a little surprised, but then it occurred to me that Bif is one of those who talks about leaving at re-up time to drive up his salary.

I would not be surprised to see Biff wanting out at this time next year. He's plenty capable, but Roush is a deep organization and I wonder with Darnell and Braun both up and coming stars where Biffle fits in with Kenseth and Ragan and Edwards. Not to mention Jack has to cut a team within the next year and a half(McMurray).

Ragan isn't going anywhere.

this McMurray rumor is that he would get shuffled over to Yates.

McMurray doesn't need to get shuffled. He just needs to quit. Seriously though, Yates will be nothing more than an R&D team for Roush. Making Roush a 7 team establishment.

Ragan's safe. David has shown tremendous improvement this year. Last year it seemed he could not go more than two laps without causing a wreck but now he has great showings and finishes. I am impressed by him. It's poor Jamie who's out. I like him and I hope he keeps racing. I hope he gets a decent ride next season.

The only team Jamie should be racing for is a field filler team in the truck series. He took a championship team and has made them bottom in the Roush organization. He's done nothing to impress me at all during his Nascar career. He's as overated as JJ Yeley and David Stremme were when they came into cup. Look at them now

McMurray has won two races. that's hardly nothing.

he's a middle of the pack driver right where middle of the pack drivers belong, in the middle of the pack. he's not Scott Riggs or JJ Yeley.

The race he won last year by a centimeter was BS. The other one he was driving for the team that statistically had been the most dominant that season. He was given the 97 team and blew it, before that he was given the 42 which Ganassi doesn't have top notch equipment but McMurray could have faired better

so?

wins are wins. doesn't matter what your resume looks like. you cross the finish line first, you win.

what does the championship have to do with anything?

we're talking about winning races.

Winning 6 races but having 7 or 8 DNF's isn't decent at all. I'd rather win 2-3 races a year and have consistency

If I were a team owner, I would take 6 wins over 2 or 3 no matter what happened in the others. Sponsors want to see their car in victory circle, no one remembers who finished 2nd through 43rd. Junior Johnson was well known to say either bring back the trophy or just the steering wheel.

Of course a sponsor would like to win the Champ. too, but since their is only one team that wins it, your odds aren't too great.
